The Sponsorship program has three steps that increase the likelihood of success.

1. To participate in the Sponsored To A Better Marriage program, a couple in trouble will write a four paragraph story about how their marriage fell into the danger zone. Their story is then posted at this site where potential sponsors can read it.

2. The Marriage Lifeline program is regularly sold for $997 but through the Sponsored To a Better Marriage program, we start couples out by putting $200 towards their full Sponsorship. This leaves a remainder of $297 that they are responsible for, while their sponsors cover the remainder of the $500.

A one time payment of $297 is the amount the couple needs to begin the Marriage Lifeline program. The couple who applies is not asked to pay this amount until the sponsor's portion ($500) has been raised.

3. Once a couple and their sponsors have raised the necessary funds to begin the program, the husband and wife begin the first call with their Marriage Translator and continue throughout 4 weeks, during 8 private, one hour phone calls through the Marriage Lifeline program.
